Brad Cook joined SAC at in inception in 2008 as Head Coach after a sucesssful stint as Head Performance Coach at CAP Elite. He is widely recognized as an expert in the fields of coaching and speed/power training. Cook comes to SAC with 8 years of experience in the sports performance field and with a host of successful clients.

Cook was an outstanding multisport athlete at Baton Rouge’s Catholic High School. In football he starred as a running back and defensive back for Dale Weiner’s perennially successful program, anchoring several district championship teams and a State 5A semifinalist team in 2000. Cook was also was named to the All District and All Metro Football teams.

A versatile athlete, Cook also started for three years as a point guard in basketball under Glen Randow, including a state quarterfinal appearance in 2000. He was also a regional champion and competed at the state level as a sprinter for the legendary Pete Boudreaux in Track and Field. He stayed busy when the school year was over as well, competing for the nationally ranked Northlake AAU basketball team.

After high school, Cook went on to LSU, competing as a multievent athlete under Boo Schexnayder in the LSU Track and Field program for two years before beginning his coaching career.

He went on to coach basketball in the CSAL, winning three consecutive league championships. He also started operating private speed and power development camps prior to his arrival at SAC.

Cook graduated with honors from Catholic High in 2001, and in 2007 earned a Bachelor’s Degree from LSU in History.
